The race that was supposed to be Martha Coakley's with an easy runaway victory has been won by Scott Brown!
Brown has won the Senate seat vacated by the death of Senator Ted Kennedy and given the Republicans a new lease on life.
This win means that the Democrats will no longer keep there edge on the power in the Senate with there 60 vote filibuster proof majority. Rather the Republicans now have there 41st vote, which will have long lasting effects on the Senate and President Obama's next few months.

The 41st vote means that the Republicans can stop or put the breaks on the Democratic Senate any time they want. The magic 60 vote filibuster proof margin is out of the way.
In the end was it Coakley herself, not sticking to the campaign and working hard to the end that cost the Dem's the race or is the resolve of the Republican party to claw back the power just that strong?
Is this a forewarning for the Democrats to be careful on how they conduct business from here out since the mid-term elections are not that far off?
Damage control to Major Tom - and the Health Care Reform package? The Democrats will attempt to push that through in the next few days.
Next up - Coakley will attempt to blame her loss on the Democratic party.
