The President and First Lady will be in Tucson Arizona tomorrow to attend the the University of Arizona memorial event “Together We Thrive: Tucson and America” for the victims and families of the weekend's tragic shootings.
Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and Justice Anthony Kennedy, Circuit Justice for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, will also attend the memorial event set for 6:00 PM MST.
President Obama also signed a Presidential Proclamation honoring the Victims of the Tragedy in Tucson, Arizona.
As a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on Saturday, January 8, 2011, in Tucson, Arizona, the President has ordered that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, January 14, 2011.
