FBI nabs two with possible links to US based al Qaeda cell

Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay, both of New York City are being held, pending charges, as part of "an ongoing investigation" by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force in New York City.

The two are believed to be associates of Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan immigrant who was living in Aurora, Colorado. Zazi was arrested this past September on charges of planning to make explosives from hydrogen peroxide for use in bombing attempts to damage the mass transit systems in New York.

Both men Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay are believed to have accompanied Mr. Zazi on a late 2008 early 2009 trip to what the FBI called an al Qaeda training camp in Pakistan.
