Official: White House to lift ban on military suicide condolences

Condolence letters for family of military members who commit suicides will once again be allowed to be sent out.

The mental health aspect of military life will no longer carry the stigma that precluded the President of the United States to send condolence letters to family of military members who commit suicide.

This is a policy that predates the Obama administration.

This new policy stance will apply to deployed members of the military.
