Pakistani authorities have announced that they have arrested Younis Al Mauritania, whom they called a senior al Qaeda leader, and two other al Qaeda figures in the suburbs of Quetta.
Bin Laden reportedly had tasked Mauitania with targeting high profile economicly substantial targets in America.
American Counterterrorism officials have stated that removing Mauritania from a position of control in al Qaeda has been a top priority.
The top levels of al Qaeda have been being removed layer by layer at an accelerating rate over the past few months.
