Dulles International airport was partially evacuated after the discovery of a suspicious package at around 4:30 today.
Several gates were evacuated briefly during a search triggered by a security dog alerting on a package that was being loaded on a flight.
Dulles received clearance to return to normal operations after 8 pm and only 2 flights were reportedly affected by the investigations.
