Park Police on foot in riot gear along with mounted police officers entered the "encampments" of the occupy DC protesters in McPherson square this morning. The Police installed barricades around the park which has been occupied since October 2010.
They were not there to evict the occupiers but to enforce and check on the "No Camping" policy that is in place.
The occupiers can stay in McPherson Square and hold a vigil ... as long as they do not camp. They can not close the flaps on the tents that are in place.
