The George W. Bush Presidential library opened to the public today with the 43rd president greeting the first visitors. 43 local school children were the first through the door. The Dallas / Forth Worth students were selected by the area Superintendent of Schools to be the first 43 to meet the 43rd.

The George W. Bush Presidential library is housed within the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas.

The Presidential Museum includes a 9-11 exhibit as well as exhibits dedicated to both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Hurricane Katrina's devastating impact and the recovery efforts and the hanging chads from Florida's election.

The Museum spokesman John Orrell has said they expect approximately 300,000 people are expected to visit the George W. Bush Presidential library per year.
