President Obama's internet based town hall event today

President Obama held an internet based town hall meeting today, Open for Questions.

The questions seemed to want to center around the legalization of marijuana, at least that is what it looked like when I checked the web page where the questions were posted at around 8 am.

In the end there were almost a hundred thousand participants and more than three and a half million votes on the questions to be posed to President Barack Obama.

The over all experience showed the potential of what this kind of open engagement can accomplish.

It also showed the possible problems it could pose for the President and the Administration.

The online town hall had the feel of something that had never been done before, and something that the White House and the Obama Administration will obviously be running more of.
