Evan Bayh will not be seeking reelection

Even though Evan Bayh was reported by Daily Kos as having a double-digit advantage over his challenger Dan Coats according to a Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll, Evan Bayh has decided that to call it quits.

The Indiana Senator, Evan Bayh is expected to announce today that he is retiring.

Yet another blow to the Democrats who need to ensure that there seat count remains unchanged in the upcoming midterms.

Bayh has scheduled a press conference for 2 Pm. ET in Indianapolis. Details will follow as the are announced.
