Maryland Republican Party ROBO-calling about the Marriage vote

That's right folks - it's ROBO time again!

We just received a ROBO from the Maryland Republican Party telling us that the Marriage law is in jeopardy!

We should call and make sure that it is upheld as a union between one man and one woman!

OH MY !!!!

Terror!!!!

Let's be 100% honest with ourselves here folks, who cares?

If a man and a woman get married, are sharing insurance, cheat on each other (as most good christian folk do) lie and argue with each-other at all times. Eventually reducing themselves to nothing more than hallway sex (that's when the two parties pass each other in the hall and exchange F-u's) eventually dissolve and divorce each other with one party taking half and the other party scratching there head wondering what they could have done differently to avoid the situation.

That's all ok though right?

What if the woman found a woman and they both had the same interests, joys and hopes?

All the guys would be ok with that - most of the women would be fine with it too. Don't lie - be honest with yourselves - think about it - why do you think porn is such a booming business. Right, only shady lonely guys buy porn.

I say only stuffed shirt christian blowhards lie enough to attempt to mandate that no one else should do what they do secretly!

Let people be people.

Marry who they want.

Divorce who they want.

Why can't everyone simply be allowed to share what little time we all have in this world seeking and enjoying the company of those who we feel most comfortable with? Be that straight or gay or bisexual or biracial or inter-religious or catholic - jewish or what ever?

Correct me if I am wrong - and I am sure you will - but doesn't our constitution's first amendment cover freedom of expression?

I think it goes like this

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."



What is marriage but a free exercise of religious expression declaring love and devotion in as and in a manner of free-speech?

Sound like a teabagger action plan doesn't it? Uphold the constitution!

And if you have a religious problem with it - let those who you perceive as being incorrect by religious circumstance settle the issue with the god they have - it's probably not the baptist, catholic, episcopal, lutheran or whatever god you have. Remember - religious freedom? Everyone calls that one out too - as long as it's in there favor.
