Sen. John McCain has said that President Barack Obama "is a patriot," however some are still calling President Obama a socialist.
So which is it?
Both Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich have said President Obama is a socialist. Newt even said so in a book he wrote called "To Save America: Stopping Obama's Secular-Socialist Machine".
"President Obamas approach to the Governments income it is the same progressive approach that has been the cornerstone of American tax policy since the federal government first collected an income tax in 1863, an approach embraced by Republicans and Democrats. The taxes were collected and "redistributed" through programs.
In fact our Government has been redistributing wealth ever since.
So is President Obama a socialist for proposing to raise tax levels on those who make more than the average American .... Just like Republican President Lincoln way back in 1862?
