US and Germany to Meet to Discuss Snowden's NSA Revelations

The United States and Germany have agreed to hold a high-level meeting to discuss the Edward Snowden's NSA revelations and accusations of the possible bugging of European Union offices in Washington DC, New York and Brussels.

During a phone conversation earlier today between the two leaders President Obama assured Germany's Chancellor Merkel that the United States takes seriously the concerns of our European allies and partners.  The two leaders reaffirmed the importance of continued close cooperation between our respective intelligence services in the fight against terrorism and other threats to the security of the United States, Germany, and our allies.

The meetings between the two nations could begin as soon as July 8th.
